Surroundings

Our secluded "Lago.di.Como-Lounge" can be found in an elevated, moderately inclined, rural lakeside area near the center of the village "Acquaseria" (220 m aSL), which is the hub of the "San Siro Italia" community at the Roman "Strada Antica Regina" along the westbank of the Lago di Como.

Acquaseria, with about 900 people, is a quiet, not over-touristic, rural Italian village, famous for it's old houses, centered at the "Strada Antica Regina" with the oldest building of the whole area (Sant'Abbondio), and famous for several small villagios of former wine farmers, scattered nicely at the south eastern slope of the Monte Grona (1728m, with Rifugio CAI Menaggio at 1383m ). As Acquaseria is a rather quiet place, it's about 5 km (7 min by bus) only  to Menaggio (our "business center"), the most busy place of the central western lakeside, providing any kind of service and excitement in a more touristic and more noisy framework.

Acquaseria offers two nice pebble-covered lakeside beaches, allowing for any kind of watersports, and on the mountain side a large network of hiking and biking trails for extended tours and more extended impressive views of the Larian landscape.

Acquaseria also offers everything for our dayly life: Within <=5 min walk, we can reach the shops we need (eg Groceries, Fruits, Butchery) and also some good everyday restaurants. And if we want to visit a bar or a nightclub: it's all there in the village. And, of course, there are well maintained streets, a rail-connection, and the Lake itself connecting our place to the outside world: 

By bus or car, you can go to Como and further to Milano and its international Airports, as well as to neighboring Lago di Lugano and Lago Maggiore, partially in Switzerland. Or to the North to Swiss Maloja Pass and eg St Moritz.

By ship, you can go (from Menaggio) to Varenna to enter a train to Lecco and further to Bergamo (Airport) or to Milano again. Besides, yo can go by ship to Bellagio, and by "Water Taxi" to any place around the Lago di Como. And you can also use your own (rented) boat for that!

This way, all of the Lake, the Provinces Lombardi & Piemonte and more are within reach of 1 day tours. So all the points of interest between Genova and St Moritz, and between Torino and Firence or even Venezia are waiting to be explored, and it takes years to visit all the famous locations and ressorts in this area! Many of them can be visited by walking\ biking, or by ship \ train\ bus (lots of guided tours available!), but all of them can be reached by 1-day car tours! - Andiamo!
